I'M ENGAGED!

hello!! I write this as a newly engaged woman. Matthew proposed on Christmas Eve in the most perfect way with the most perfect ring. I won't divulge too many gushy details, especially since I just want to show you my ring!! It's vintage, from the 1950s. He got it through an estate sale.

I hope you think it's just as beautiful as I do!

hot and heavy, pumpkin pie

Happy winter break, fellow students! I've been busy buying Christmas presents, visiting family, and finishing my semester. Finally, finally, finally I'm done for the year. I will be able to post so much more often now! This is what I wore to brunch with Matthew's family this morning, which is why my dress is super wrinkled. It's not super blog-worthy, but better something than nothing, right?

Note my Penn State hat. Shout out to Happy, Honey and Lark!! Fellow PSU girl!

quick update

Hello! I promise I'm still around. I just finished my semester, so my time will be freed up for more blogging. I got a position at Penn State as a blogger, too, so I'll definitely be around more often. In fact, I took picture (that I adored) today, but through a couple of stupid mistakes, accidently deleted them. I could kick myself, but that just means I will have to retake them tomorrow! Maybe I can even fit in two outfits :)

Thanks for sticking with me!

london town

hello hello! I am finally back from my long week in London! It was really truly magical. I wish I could live there. I felt strangely familiar with it. You know when you meet someone that you feel like you already know really well? That's how I felt about London. Despite my love affair with the city, it was good to come back to the old ball and chain Pennsylvania. It reminds of the a quote from Juno, "I never realize how much I like being home unless I've been somewhere really different for a while."

I did and saw way too much to explain in one blog post, so here are some photos from the beginning of my trip. I will be posting more throughout the week, along with some outfit photos featuring clothes purchased in London!

Here begins my European journey:

This unflatteringly huge grey coat saved me from the bitter London cold.

I know it is impossible to see, but that is Prince Charles waving to us!! Incredibly exciting.

Thanks for stopping by!

tattoo

Well, it seems as though I am too impatient to wait until the tattoo heals to show you. I'll take some better pictures later, but for now, here is a picture from a few weeks ago!

It's a Mountain Laurel, Pennsylvania's state flower. We (Sam, Marisa, and I) all got it to remember where we're from and where we became friends. I know it's hard to see, but you get the general idea!

Do you have tattoos? Would you like a tattoo? If so, what?

This week has been/is going to be nuts. I never get a break in school, do I? Lots of papers. Lots of homework. Lots of stress. My only solace is that I'm going to London in two weeks. I am beyond excited but also a little scared about the big bad terrorists coming to get me. Especially with it being an American holiday and I'm flying internationally. Have any of you been flying abroad recently? Do you feel safe?

I super duper promise that I will post a few more times before I leave, but with all of my schoolwork, I can't make big promises. Definitely a tattoo post as soon as the newest one heals!

a sane post

So, on top of being super sick, I also have about 30 pages worth of papers to write by next week. Needless to say, I have had NO time to take outfit pictures, let alone have the energy to put together a decent outfit. Although, I did just get my package from ASOS, so I will be excited to take pictures of my new pretties.

Another piece of crappy news is that I didn't really get to dress up for Halloween. Matt and I decided to go to the Penn State game after we got back from THE RALLY TO RESTORE SANITY AND/OR FEAR. I know I should steer clear of politics on this blog, but I am really to excited to not talk about it. We went down to DC with a group of friends Friday night and went to the rally on Saturday morning. I have never been in such a crowd in my life. They're estimating as many as 215,000 people were there. The city was insane (unlike the rally, herk herk). I got to see CAT STEVENS, Ozzy Osbourne, the Myth Busters, John Legend, the Roots, and of course John Stewart and Stephen Colbert. It was so amazing.

Please don't take this as some sort of political post, but as a happening in the life of Anna Rose post!

Hope you all had a lovely weekend and continue to have a great week!
